- For the purpose of this contest, contestant(s) will be given the opportunity to match exactly a predetermined winning number which is a representation of the total number of items which have been displayed. A “hint range” will be provided and made known to all participants for this contest before any participant makes their number guess. The actual winning number will be a number which falls within the given hint range and may be any number within the hint range (the predetermined winning number may not match the actual number of items displayed). The grand prize will be awarded to a contestant who matches exactly the predetermined winning number, which falls within the given hint range and is on file at GPP.
- A minimum total of x items must be displayed on each contest date. If a minimum total of x items are not displayed for this contest, no claims for this contest will be acknowledged. The predetermined winning number will be a representation of the actual number of items on display. Important: absolutely no one, other than the contest supervisor, may know the actual number of items displayed for this contest. If anyone is informed of the actual number of items included in the display, no claim for this contest will be acknowledged. The only indication of the number of items included in the display that may be given to the entrants is the hint range provided by GPP (see item 1 above).
- Under no circumstances will any party other than the GPP representative know the official winning number. This winning number will be placed in a sealed envelope and will be shipped to the attention of an official representing the client at least two (2) days prior to the beginning of the event. It is imperative that the envelope containing the winning number remain sealed. The GPP representative will direct the official as to what to do with the envelope after the promotion ends. If the envelope is opened, damaged, or tampered with in any way whatsoever, it will result in a claim denial.
- At the end of promotion, the following procedure will take place:
- Client must report the number guess on all guess(es) to an GPP representative via telephone (phone number and time of call to be verified by date of event) or email.
- Upon receipt of all submitted guesses, the GPP representative will compare all number guesses received with the predetermined winning number to determine if any contestant has matched the winning number correctly.
- If there are no winning number guesses reported, the GPP representative will confirm with contest supervisor by telephone that all guesses were received, and that contest supervisor is fully aware that no contestant has correctly guessed the winning number. Once contest supervisor confirms by telephone that there were no winning number guesses submitted, there will be no further opportunity for a claim for this event.
- Following the confirmation by telephone that there is no winner, the GPP representative will release the winning number over the phone to client. At this time, the winning number may be announced to all contestants.
- Important: it is the responsibility of the contest supervisor to insure that all guesses submitted on the date of each contest are reported to an GPP representative. Once it is determined that there is no correct guess, and the winning number is released, there will be no further opportunity for a claim for this event. GPP will not be responsible for any entry with the correct number that is not reported to GPP representative and confirmed during the phone call . If a winning entry was lost by the client, or for any reason not reported prior to the release of the winning number, the client will assume all liability and GPP will not be responsible for paying any claim.
- GPP is not responsible for any miscommunication of a contestant's guess to GPP. Only the guesses which are reported to GPP representative will be acknowledged as eligible entries for this event.
- If there are no winners in the event, the GPP representative will inform the official holding the sealed envelope that the envelope may be opened for verification of the winning number.
- It is imperative that the sealed envelope containing the winning number be kept in a secured location until directions are given by the GPP representative. In the event that a guess that correctly matches the winning number is reported to GPP, the envelope must be returned to GPP and must be received in its original sealed, unmolested condition. The envelope will be examined thoroughly by GPP upon receipt. The envelope seal may not be broken in any manner, nor may there be any tears, creases, or other marks visible on the envelope. Any signs of tampering on the sealed envelope will result in an immediate claim denial. Nothing may be done in any way to enhance a contestant's chances of winning this contest.
- Important: once the sealed envelope has been opened, irrespective of the reason, no claims shall be acknowledged for this event.
- The name on the identification must match exactly with the name on the original entry. This contestant must be the participant who originally submitted the guess. No family member, friend or any other person will be allowed to accept prize for winning contestant. Only one (1) guess entry per contestant will be accepted.
- Sponsor must provide GPP with a video tape of this event. It is the responsibility of the contest supervisor to ensure that all video equipment is in working order. The video tape must clearly zoom in and focus clearly on each official number guess entry. The entire sequence of events must be provided on continuous, unedited, uninterrupted video tape. In the event of a grand prize winning guess, the winning video must be submitted to GPP within (5) business days of the contest event date. Failure to provide this video within (5) business days may result in a claim denial.
